Responder Cover

Draws blue-light isochrones, showing how far each unit can get in a set time, so you can manage dynamic cover now and plan ahead.

From where you start to how far you get.

You set

  • Start points Such as stations and crew locations.
  • Time bands Such as the response standards you plan against.
  • Vehicle type Such as a fire appliance or police car.

You get

Response cover

As the time bands grow, neighbouring isochrones meet and join up.

A circle on a map isn’t blue-light cover.

Built on Blue Light Routing, powered by data from real emergency driving, so we know what an emergency vehicle can and can’t do.

Blue-light road speeds

How fast emergency vehicles really drive each road under blue lights, at different times of day, learned from real runs. So an isochrone for the evening peak isn’t the same as one at 3am.

Exemptions

Bus lanes, bus gates, contraflow, restricted turns and pedestrianised zones. Emergency vehicles can use them, so their reach runs further than a consumer map shows.

The vehicle

A fire appliance’s reach stops where a width or weight limit does, even when a car’s doesn’t.
