Can we reach every part of our area in time?

Responder Cover shows how far your units can get under blue lights in a set time, so you can manage dynamic cover through the shift and plan ahead.

How a cover check runs

Moving units for dynamic cover while crews are committed, placing standby points for the evening peak, reviewing stations for next year: each rests on one question. How far can a unit actually get in the time you have?

A circle on a map assumes every road is equal. Responder Cover is built on Blue Light Routing, powered by data from real emergency driving, so it draws the area a unit can really reach under blue lights.

  1. Step 01

    Map your reach

Responder Cover draws an isochrone for each unit, station or standby point, showing the area it can reach under blue lights in a set time.

  2. Step 02

    Check it against your standards

Set the time to your response standard. The gaps in cover are the places no unit reaches in time.

  3. Step 03

    Test a move

Move a unit to a standby point while others are committed, or try a station move, and compare reach before and after.
